As a Project Manager, your primary role is to coordinate and develop key projects with partner stakeholders, assist with building PCIC’s research capacity through designing and implementing innovative quantitative and qualitative projects with a focus on High-Need, High-Cost (HNHC) patients, assist with grant funding and legal framework. You will participate in strategic development of the organization by contributing to weekly core strategy team meetings and related activities, and
cultivate relationships with external researchers and experts.
Responsibilities:
- 40% - Project Management & Strategy
- Foster and maintain relationships with external project partners
- Co-lead communication of project changes and updates with PCIC team project partners
- Assist team with strategic development of project initiatives
- Work closely with leadership team to integrate intervention, data and analytics with research in a strategic way
- IRB protocols, and other regulatory components of research; Weekly check-ins on the above projects with other co-investigators; Keeping track of regulatory requirements
- 30% - Research
- Quantitative
- Develop new quantitative projects relevant to PCIC’s mission with PI and quantitative consultants
- Continue evaluation of interventions, and development of quantitative approaches to novel intervention evaluation
- Acquisition and management of diverse set of large datasets in collaboration with the technology team
- Knowledge of basic statistical testing and ability to operationalize in statistical software
- Qualitative
- Assist in development of qualitative components of interventions for HNHC patients with PI and quantitative consultants
- Co-develop qualitative portions of PCIC intervention evaluations, IRB protocols, and other regulatory components of research
- Weekly check-ins on the above projects with other co-investigators
- Keeping track of regulatory requirements
- 20% - Funding
- Assist with grant writing efforts for national and local foundations, as well as government-based funders (AHRQ, CMS, NIH, NIMH)
- Assist with integrated project implementation
- Work as CO-I with president, as head of research, in research and strategy
- 10% - Legal
- Assist with development of legal framework that supports acquisition and sharing of data to create a connected safety-net
- Assist team with city and county lawyers, and national legal advisers to create and maintain legal agreements and contracts with various data and intervention partners.
Qualifications:
- Educational background
- MPH + 2 years of experience in a related field OR
- Current DrPH or PhD students in public health will be considered
- Project Management background
- 2+ years of successful experience managing projects through teams and stakeholder partners
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
- Strong technical ability and experience with project management applications
- Research background
- Knowledge of statistical software (Stata, SAS, SPSS, R or equivalent)
- ArcGIS preferred but not required
- Experience managing and manipulating large datasets
- Familiarity with qualitative approaches and software (s.a. Atlas.ti)
Travel:
We anticipate no more than 25% travel for this role.
