Internship/Volunteer – Audio Visual/ Broadcast

Internship – 15-20 hrs. per week

The Patient Care Intervention Center (PCIC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve quality and reduce cost through coordination of care for the most vulnerable in our health care system.

PCIC performs its mission in a variety of ways, from developing software and technology solutions for care coordination, to performing data analytics on large diverse datasets for identifying super utilizers, to setting up intervention programs and care plans for clients enrolled in the intervention program. As a media and communications intern, you will assist with developing specific projects related to the successful implementation of PCIC’s communications objectives, with a strong emphasis on creating and implementing integrated communications workflows and plans where media outreach is a major element.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning social media video content– Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Lead in developing and editing different styles of videos.
  • Assist in developing PCIC’s multimedia database (image/video content).
  • Assist with writing policies and procedures regarding audio and visual communications.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and project management skills.
  • Must possess excellent research skills.
  • Must have experience using social media to increase and track audience engagement, with knowledge of social media best practices, online media tools/resources, and traditional and emerging media channels.
  • Must possess proficiency using SharePoint and MS Office tools, and ability to quickly learn other online software tools.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Must have 2+ years’ experience in social media and videography environments.
  • Must have experience with video editing.
  • Must show initiative for completing projects according to deadlines.
